We don’t really have that many, Peeke, Jiricek, Coulemans, Boqvist and Gudbranson, I don’t see Blankenburg as more than a 6th/7th d. That’s 6 total that have NHL level projections, not all of them will pan out.

I still don't think we can afford to lose Peeke quite yet. We've got more possibilities at RD, but very little is settled, and so we need the options IMO.

I'd probably readjust your view on Blankenburg. Lars absolutely loves that kid and was thoroughly impressed with him last year. Says you could probably make a video on how to defend based on just his play. Says that his compete level was probably higher than anyone he saw all season. Also says that his awareness is about as good as he has seen. It doesn't seem like him getting time with Werenski last year was a fluke. I'm not going to be surprised if he gets a top 4 spot.
