So if it doesn't have to be CBJ, then why do Leafs fans perpetually choose them for Kerfoot/Holl/Muzzin? We're nowhere near being alphabetically first.

-I can't see Calgary making a move for Muzzin after re-signing Zadorov. I assume they're gonna run Hanifin-Andersson/Zadorov-Tanev/Valimaki-Kylington as their D pairs - just not a spot for Muzzin.

-I could see Puljujarvi going for that if they can't find a better deal. I think Edmonton would try and get a pick and a prospect though - if all it takes is a 2nd, I think a lot of us around here will be mad if our own GMs let that deal go by without topping it.

-I don't know if the Jets move Lowry but I don't know enough about what's going on up there to say that with any conviction. I'm also not sure why you're going after him - I feel like David Kampf is just as good a shutdown C for half the price.

Also I like Kampf a lot to but I think the leafs need to have more of a scoring line in their bottom six and then a dedicated shut down line.

I think Jarnkrok will fill that role pretty well - he's been a pretty solid 35 point guy the last 7 seasons and I can't see that changing going to a team with this offense. I think you could also think about taking a swing at Victor Rask in UFA if you wanted to get a Lowry-type - he'll cost less in both the sense that no picks going out, and I think he'll sign sub-$2M - and his defensive metrics were pretty strong while he also put up 21 points in 47 games. Not the sexiest player, but I think he'd fit that need you're looking for there pretty well.

If you want a 3rd line that can't score to save its life then
Adam Lowry is the guy you want! I doubt even Nylander and Jarnkrok could prop his useless ass up.
