don't understand why so many people are hating on the MoJo signing. He can play any forward position and is getting $1.1M. You can just bury that contract in the minors if you have to.

Improved. Not best, but improved. Strome won't be nearly as effective playing away from Debrincat and Kane, where all he had to do was facilitate a little. We'll still have to shelter him a bit, but it's an improved roster nonetheless.

That’s what I did with mojo. It’s what’s keeping us from being cap complaint if after we ship out Eller and that’s what I did.

We know what this team is capable of. They can really dominate when they are playing there game. If this group they can do something special. Why only worry is backstroms skating. It really took a beating last year and it might get even worse. Do we make another big move? Are we done. I’m completely happy with what we’ve done so far. Do we stop? We need to move eller but what will that cost.

My player to watch this year will be brown or oshie. Oshie had an amazing playoffs and I hope he keeps it going. Brown will score 30 scores probably and bring a good two way game. Hopefully he plays in the top six and gets the time he needs to produce because that’s all he needs is toi.

Brown will be great for Washington. My only concern is that I don't know who stirs the drink on that line. Brown is a wonderful complementary 2nd liner, but I'm not sold on Strome or Mantha as true play drivers. I know both have underlying metrics that suggest the do drive play in both zones, I'm just not convinced it will translate to on ice results. My preference would be to put him with McMichael and Backstrom.

It's really funny becaues GMBM does exactly what he says he's going to do every time and delivers on it. People have short memories and forget that the team he took over from McPhee had a brutal defensive corps, a lack of depth, and missing top six help. He put together the best roster in Caps history in 2015-16 and 2016-17. It wasn't his fault the team couldn't get past the second round there.

Yes people love talking about how one bounce goes against them in game 3 vs CBJ or James Neal doesn't miss an empty net in the Cup Final and things are looked at a lot differently but never bring up how much GMBM and the entire team's legacy could've changed if Ward doesn't get called for a literal rule-changing BS incidental contact or if Dan Winnik scores on a breakaway or Brouwer doesn't miss a wide open net high on a one-timer or even if Holtby doesn't give up two of the softest goals he ever has in game 7 vs CAR.

Nashville with one good forward, Vegas who traded away their top scorer for literally nothing, and Calgary with no Gaudreau as top 10 teams in the league

Eller had 31 points and you’re clearing him for cap reasons, that’s the literal definition of a cap dump
