That Necas trade is rought

Getting mixed messages from Canes fans. Some say they would do Kerfoot for Necas straight up. Some say they would do Holl with a mid round pick for him. Others are asking for the moon. I figured this trade helps canes mid 6 by adding Kerfoot on a solid contract bc y’all prob can’t afford to bring back nino and they are very similar players. Right side in CAR is looking thin. Holl could fit on that 2nd or 3rd pair and I think would benefit from the way the canes play. What do u think the canes are asking for Necas?

Any fan saying holl plus a mid round pick is smoking crack. Holl himself is worth a 3rd max. Kerfoot is Ight I guess but not what the canes need. They have their centers set for the rest of kerfoots contract. Necas is the best player in the deal and I wouldn’t trade him for kerfoot and holl together. Tbh there isn’t a piece from the leafs that works for the canes. Only thing I can think of nylander but even then canes have to add and they probably won’t want to add because he has two years left and a 7mil cap hit. It’s not like the leafs don’t have assets that equal necas, it’s that the assets they do have the canes won’t want. Even if you made a trade of two top prospects like hirvonen and amirov the canes probably still say no because it’s win now mode even tho those two combined are worth a little more than necas. Leafs have a better shot at a guy like puljujarvi or Kapanen but of Kapanen puljujarvi and necas, necas is the most valuable as he is the youngest and has had the best season out of all of them before. All underperformed this year, all would be getting sold low on, and all are former 1st round picks.

Bring Kappy Days back to the Leafs!

Toronto’s reject squad doesn’t come close to getting Necas, let alone the Canes adding 2 picks and Lorentz.

I think Canes should add Aho and Slavin

Chicago fans say Strome is a below average skater, can't play the wing and is a defensive liability. So that 2nd line is a real problem.
