Jonathan Toews isn’t interested in coming to Buffalo any more than the Sabres are interested in giving up Apslund.

Not saying he was, simply pointing out that the 1st was going in the other direction.

OK, I am an idiot, I love Asplund and he may have untapped latent goal scoring talent.
Toews wins 57% of his face offs and is one of the Hawks top PK forwards.
At the TDL, with 50% retention he would possibly return another good pick.
With out additional picks from trading Toews, Buffalo would still have six picks in the first two rounds of the 2023 draft with this trade.
Let's agree to disagree, but I make this trade, show case Toews during the season to maximize his trade value and hope I could get another good pick at the TDL.
