While reasonable request, it's hard to see that happening. As you can see there's 11k left in cap, and Muzzin earns around $625k more in cap.

COL did Kerfoot once, no need to ever repeat.

He was good there tho, and Sakic gets him a guy he knows.

He was good because he played with high end talent he wouldn’t play with now. He makes more money than they would want, and while I love his heart he gets destroyed in the physical game. Like I said COL has been there done that and I’m willing to wager that is a pretty universal thought amongst fans and the front office.

Why is Colorado adding a 2nd? That's laughably bad value for one year of Kerfoot at 3.5

Kadri's UFA rights are probably worth a 4th-5th rounder, tops. Kerfoot had a 50 point year. Low 2nd+maybe a 5th round pick is imo pretty fair for Kerfoot.

Maybe TOR get that value for Kerfoot at the TDL but not in the off-season, and certainly not from COL. Been there, some that, moved on.

Still, calling it "laughably bad value" is blatantly false.
