2C is the biggest forward priority, but I think that Copp stays in NY and Strome, Trocheck, ect will all get overpaid so I don't hate the idea of signing a guy like Nichushkin and playing Rasmussen or Veleno at 3C.

Realistically I don't think this trade would happen. I don't think Detroit would ever trade for Mrazek nor do I think Toronto would trade Sandin to a division rival, though I don't hate the idea of it.

Unfortunately I expect Nichushkin to be massively overpaid like the other guys you mentioned, so he will not be a Red Wing. Would love to have him in Detroit though. Wanted Holland to sign him for years.

Yzerman was named GM in April 2019 & Nichushkin was signed to Dallas. Dallas bought his contract a few months later so you’d either have to take him then for that 3M cap hit or he was free to test FA. Either way Holland would’ve had to trade for him in Detroit to sign him. Nic’s second tract with Colorado he was an RFA also.
