Description

NOT saying this is the route the Devils will go or should go, but it is something I could see Fitzgerald doing. I personally think there are better moves to make at a cheaper price. Maybe MN considers 2023 1st rd pick in a differently structured deal. Like the player, and think he would be a good fit in NJ besides Hischier. Don't see how the Devils outbid the Senators or Islanders if 20A isn't in the picture. Once again, don't think they should trade 2OA in a deal for Fiala, but if they did, this is the type of deal I would expect

But your Fiala trade thought is good. Fiala and Minn's first for the 2nd overall could be a deal.

I fully expect Johnsson to be dealt- that should alleviate the cap crunch. Who knows if the owners want to spend this much though

Greenway got a contract extension in Jan, I doubt BG trades him after he extended him. He is a part of the GREEF line which was one of the most dominate shutdown lines in the NHL so the Wild value him highly even thought alot of Wild fan would like to see him traded.

I liked the Vanecek-for-Zacha idea early in the offseason, but the more I read about Zacha the less I think he's a good fit for the Caps. IMO they're better off using Vanecek as a trade chip for someone like Lehner or Ullmark, or for a pick they could use in another trade.

We value Greenway very highly but if this is what it took to get 2OA, I suspect they’d do it. Although, swap Boqvist out with someone like Thompson.

I still think it's an overpay.

Fiala and the 22 1st for 2nd Ova is fair.

Which basically means it comes down to Boqvist for Greenway 1v1. Which is a no go. Greenway carries more value than Boqvist.

You're right that something better needs to be coming back in place of Boqvist though. But I'm uncertain as to what that should be.

The Greenway for Boqvist part of the trade doesn't make sense for MN. Swap Jost for Greenway and it looks better for MN. I think Jost would do well with Lindy Ruff as his coach.

Fiala + MN's 1st for 2oa makes sense. MN might need to add a little to even it out, but that isn't Greenway.

It doesn’t have to be Greenway, but definitely not Jost. Fiala and #24 isn’t enough for jersey to trade 2OA. Has to be something else of decent impact. And I’d trade Thompson over Boqvist

Just put Tatar and Johnsson there indicating they’d be traded. Forgot to trade them
