Pastrnak isn't waiving for the worst team in the NHL, And that doesn't even come close to getting him.

Petry isn't waiving for Dallas, Nor will they take him at full value.

$6,200,000 x 3 years for John Klingberg, He tells Hughes to get lost. try more like 7 x 7 in Montreal probably higher.

No thanks from MTL. No interest in giving up 1st overall and the UNPROTECTED first next year. Could be top 5 next year

I do understand why Boston wouldn’t do it either though. Pasta is elite

If pasta is moved then it is for a rebuild and that means Marchand is out long-term and Bergerson is retired.

With that being the case there is no way the bruins take Gallagher back, they will want a young high-level talent still on his ELC, and Picks.

BOS will get much more for Pasta they'll want NHl ready prospects and picks.
Also 0 reason for MTL to do this trade, they're rebuilding why would they trade 1st overall and possibly a shot at Bedard next year??MTL have be missing Centers for years why would they give up the chance at drafting Wright and finally have a 1C and 2C?

A lot of rumors swirling around that DAL and PIT have high interest in Petry so that trade could work if DAL isn't on his list.

Yeah Dallas should pay a top prospect and a 3rd for Petry while Montreal gets Klinger for cheaper. They just couldn't re-sign Klingberg and keep one of their top prospects or anything...

I'd do the Dallas trade, easy pass from the Habs in the Pasta trade.

What?

I am not here to "defend" my biggest rival team but damn, if the 1st OA in 2022 and a very good chance at Bedard or Michkov in 1 years doesn't get Pastrnak, nothing will.

Yes Gallagher has negative value but this move means that the Bruins would be rebuilding for the rest of his contract... They would need to reach the cap floor so no big deal, and they get two 2nd round picks too

I am doing this if I am Boston

Well to be fair they do get Shane Wright + a top 5 pick next year most likely so that’s pretty attractive.

Again, i agree . I don’t see this being a fit for either team
Pasta is UFA too in 1 year so it makes no sense for Montreal either to trade all those futures for 1 year of pasta in a year where they will suck.

we just had a whole decade of rebuilding for like a year and then rushing back into contention this is not the way. we need to actually stay bad which means not signing big names like Klingberg, not trading for upper echelon skilled guys who don't fit our timeline like Pastrnak, and certainly not trading the first overall pick in the entire draft. trading Petry is good though, just not for Dallas's best prospect, just because he's making a lot of money doesn't mean he's worth it after all.

Damn, I would have liked to receive such offer when Mark Stone was on the last year of his deal...

They don't WANT Gallagher they are taking him to facilitate the deal and grab the lottery picks

This whole ACGM is based on IF the Bruins were going to rebuild

It's ok if you mention that you don't think the Bruins will rebuild but don't mix it up with the rest of the discussion, it just creates confusion
