One year of a perfectly good backup goalie, whom we'd have to replace from outside, is worth more to us than one year of a 30-year-old bottom-pairing rental defenseman plus a future third. For one thing, we might well want to re-sign Stolarz, which would be effectively impossible if we trade him.

kerfoot definitly is worth that much. he plays up and down the lineup, center or wing and had a 50 point season. he can play the pk and powerplay as well

None. Dostal isn't ready except for emergency duty in the event that either Gibson or Stolarz gets injured. We'll re-evaluate at the trade deadline.
