Description
IDK if bruce will be back, I think that he will get better offers from other places, he said that he wants to bring a cup to canada but a $10m contract is also nice and he might forget about the dream if he gets that in the bank.

I think that the CAR trade is fair, prospect RD, late pick, and centre prospect for a non rental.

VGK will be trigger happy this offseason, they just bought the biggest item and now need to support him, they need cap so I think that although the price is steep, I think that they will sell Roy to get the contract off. Essentially they will get 7M off their books for off season counting the raise Roy will get.

The TML trade might need a pick going to the leafs, and it might have to be schenn, but if the leafs get out early, they too will be trigger happy and canucks should capitalize on that. people will say that Dubas wont do that, but with his neck on the line I think he will.

Dadonov does not have to go to washington, when I think of a place where russian players succeed I think of washington so I think that Dadonov would be down to head to the capital.

From watching the lightning, I think that lammikko would be a suitable addition for the 4th line, he wont be expensive, he will throw his body in front of any shot, big man, throws big hits.

Dont think we really need to go to the UFA's to fill some spots, might do it if we move out Pearson, Myers, or dicky

We have cap space, but I moved everyone to IR, we are at $78,165,000 on LTIR

in a cap league and in my description there could be another pick going towards TOR. I have seen plenty of TML AGM's trade a 2nd for schenn and a 2nd for kerfoot so I thought you could put the 2 together

Ok, so in what world does a 2 way top 6 guy who can play c and w return a mid 2nd and a guy who by all accounts wouldn't make the leafs?
Just because canucks fans over value schenn and think the leafs would want him or a guy like him doesnt mean that hes worth a 2nd or even kerfoot with a 2nd

I understand that maybe Dubas could be pressured to make a trade, but you don’t trade a guy like Kerfoot who plays the exact way we want a middle 6er to play at only 3.5 mil in exchange for a guy who even if we let both our UFAs go and didn’t sign another d man and none of our AHL d men got better; he still wouldn’t crack our top 6

I like the Vegas deal and think that would make some sense for both sides.

While I get your logic on the kerfoot deal I think you are severely undervaluing him. Toronto would likely trade him somewhere for a couple or picks if they want to move the cap space.

I don't know anything about Goncalves but given your short description I like the move. I've been thinking a similar idea for McLeod in NJD.

Canes pass. They aren’t trading Drury and Heimosalmi, and they can’t afford Miller.

Interesting ideas. If Miller is moved this summer, I think it is really important for Van to get a young and established RHD in return. Heimosalmi looks like an intriguing prospect though.
I like the idea of adding Roy and Dadonov from Vegas for a draft pick, and then flipping Dadonov, but I don't think it would make sense for Vegas to take on Ferland's contract. I could see a team that needs to reach the cap floor being interested in Ferland's contract.
Kerfoot would help Van but I.M.O. Van should avoid trading Schenn and any early round draft picks, unless they acquire extra picks.

again, it could be schenn and a 3rd or something of reasonable value, I think that they will look to make cap space this offseason and he takes up money and his name isnt Matthews, Mariner, Tavares, Nylander, or Riley

I think that they could, They have a lot of money coming off the books this year and next and doesn't have any dead cap, Nino and trocheck wont need crazy money, similar deals to what they have, and the year after Staal will come off the books or get a pay cut, Necas will need to be re-uped but if they bridge he wont be more than 4m, Bear might need another 1.5m and Deangelo will get a 3m raise, that would leave more than enough to re up on miller. And too, now is the playoff window, why not capitalize on it?

they were high on Joseph, they are high on all of their prospects, it was more of a plug and play fix and upgrade on the 4th line

So the reason why they would want to take on the Ferland contract is so they can reach the cap celing sooner, then activate their LTIR guys and then are able to exceed the cap by the LTIR space minus the left over space. I think that Kerfoot could help the canucks turn the corner, it will cost a UFA who we signed and he might want to re up for a team friendly deal

Some definately do, but on aggregate yes on the trade market hes worth about a 2nd. Team friendly deal, 5-6 RD, PK, Leader, low maintanance

Precisely, not saying some don't overvalue him, portions of every fanbase overrate certain players from their own market, but there are enough people on this site who reasonably value Schenn

and again, a 3rd isnt even close to something reasonable for Kerfoot, especially when you tack on a player they have zero need for that has minimal value to someone who does need him.

Lots of teams would love to have Schenn for his leadership and presence, that's worth giving up a 2nd round pick for. Schenn and a 3rd for Kerfoot is a perfectly reasonable offer

Caps will pass on this, as Washington already has someone who puts up the same points and goals for less of a price in Sheary, and the bottom 6 is already clogged with prospects like Leason, McMichael, Protas, and Jonsson-Fjallby all ready for full time spots. They may go for a Top 6 guy but with everyone the caps currently have, Dadanov would be excess goods.

I am not saying that this will be the exact value, but i think that they will have to sell low on him, if it were at the TDL he could fetch a 1st, but because they need to trade him to get cap space he would go for less

I would dissagree that he would be gone a long time ago, he has more value to the team than the pick provides at this time
