Dallas declines that Habs trade. Petry & Armia have next to no value. Armia’s a wash with Faksa going the other way, but Mysak isn’t enough value for the Stars to take on Petry AND give up Lindell in the process

I don’t know man, seems like he’s on a steady downward trajectory. Hip injuries can be a nightmare for hockey players.

MTL don't need to give Petry, a good prospect and a 5th for a lesser defenseman. Mysak just had a 64 points season in 61 game in the OHL.

Any team that has petry should want to get rid of that contract.

I'd rather get rid of Armia's contract, Petry is still a 40 points a season RHD. He wants out, but he shouldn't have signed a 4 year extension with MTL. That's on him.

It’s not that the habs should be trading him because he wants to be traded, its that the habs should be really eager to trade him because his contract is not an asset.

Habs are on a 3-4 years rebuild anyway. They could play him until his contract end, wouldn't hurt at all.

Lindell isn’t an awesome dman you don’t watch hockey. He isn’t bad but he isn’t worth is contract. Petry isn’t worth is contract right now because of Ducharme. Since MSL took over, Petry is our best dman again. You said he shows signs of decline, yes under Ducharme, but since is game picked up big time, it was only because of Ducharme. Petry is an offensive RHD, MTL have Savard after Petry and Savard is a #5 who can play 20 minutes but that’s not good. MTL doesn’t need or want LHD

Stars easily decline the Montreal trade even though it would rid the Stars of Lindell and his NMC and Faksa. That being said, Lindell is more valuable than anyone the habs are offering here and he's signed for another few years and he's 27. No thanks. You want Faksa, I'd give him for whoever you want to send.
