a 0.5 ppg top 9 forward, a meh prospect, a bust and a late first from next years draft doesn't get you a teams captain that's a 30+ goal scorer . Canucks pass Carlo + would have to be coming the other way

Zboril is a bust, and i'd check your numbers on that... DeBrusk 38 points this season Horvat 31 goals.... sorry pal and if you are trying to say this calendar year Horvat also has more points since Jan 1st

Horvat has 31 goals in 2022? That’s weird. Seems more like he has 20….because he has 20. Horvat is just a powerplay scorer that’s okay at best 5 on 5.

Zboril played awesome. Then he tore his ACL. He was the bruins best left shot d when he went down.

horvat has scored 30+ once in his career lol, he is a mid to high 20's goal scorer lol, i think you are also forgetting he will be an expiring UFA next season and if he doesn't agree to an extension by TD you won't be getting full value for him

I said this season but okay, sure of Horvat's 51 points 19 of them are Powerplay but last time i checked a powerplay goal is still a goal on the scoreboard, Pastrnak has 24 Power play points this year yet he is still a good player not only that Horvat is a great 2 way center You can't sit here and tell me DeBrusk is the better player, i think it's time to take the Homer goggles off for a second

Van also has no desire to trade him, sure he might have scored 30 goals once, he isn't just a goal scorer he is a great 2 way player and our Captain there is zero reason to Move Horvat especially at that price, as for the UFA this post was a sign and trade which wouldn't drop his value

First off…buddy, use punctuation. That was impossible to read.

I said 2022. If you want to talk about stuff prior to that, feel free. I just don’t really care. You’ll be talking to yourself.
Debrusk is the better 5 on 5 goal scorer. It’s tough to argue against that. He’s better in most other areas of the game. He doesn’t play on the powerplay much, so pretty tough to make the powerplay comparison.

In 2022, he’s been the better player. Don’t see much of a case against it, but you can try! Just use punctuation please.

he has 5 more 5on5 goals while with way more ozone starts, DeBrusk also plays wing which is much easier to play, Horvat 32 points 5on5 this year Debrusk has 38 points total mind you in more games played i don't think you will find many here that agree with you

It’s unreadable though. You’re posting with the intention of others reading your post. If you’re writing what should be seven sentences without any punctuation, its just not easy to read. Simple literacy stuff here.

As for why horvat would walk, you’re really going to say all that and accuse others of being homers? Well lets count the ways shall we:
1. He would be hitting UFA at 28. That’s an age where teams seem comfortable going max term and overpaying - hitting the market maximizes his value.
2. Let me preface this by saying this is not my opinion, it just seems to be accepted as fact given how frequently front office types speak of it. I love vancouver, its my favorite city in North America. I love canada. Amazing country. But players don’t want to be there. GMs constantly say that if a player has a 10 team no trade list, 9 times out of 10, all canadian teams are on it. It’s likely mostly a tax issue. Players make way more money in the states. It is what it is.
3. The Canucks are bad. They’re not terrible, but it just doesn’t seem like they’re going to be a contender any time soon. The center market is thin, horvat, while not being a top line player, would likely be able to pick a team that has some better pieces.

It’s pretty easy to see why horvat would at the very least test the market. Pretty hard to see why bergeron would.

Horvat has stated he wants to stay. Vancouver wants him to stay. He’s the captain and the longest tenured Canuck. He has never said he wants out. I think it’s a pretty reasonable assumption that Vancouver can re-sign him. He’s also the player on our team that’s the most likely to take a home town discount. Even if he were traded, this does not really fill too many needs and I’m sure other teams would beat this offer

I agree with all of these points, hence the reason why I think it is very plausible for him to test the market and really could be paid somewhere in that ballpark, it might not be 9.5 but a 2-way C that scores 30 goals could command that, this is a deal made in the season as a potential rental into extension, I think that its likely vancouver won't be in contention. Debrusk could be a nice piece for them, Studnicka is unknown, Zboril got off to a great start before blowing out his knee, and the 1st is an essential in a trade for him. I think Carlo has fallen a little bit out of favor, hes at his best when you don't notice him. I think all in all the Bruins could be in the market to shuffle the deck on the defensive side, as well as that true 2c that can be 1c when Bergeron is gone (closer than we think it is). As good as Haula has played this is more of the reasoning than Haula. Horvat is one of the most underrated players in the NHL, would love to see him in Black and Gold.

How has Debrusk been better in 2022? Horvat has 20G and 12A in 37 games, Debrusk has 18G and 12A in 47 games. You really think 2 less points in 10 more games is better? Horvat also provides good 2 way play. Take your homer glasses off

You’re acting like he’s for sure gone. Maybe read the next part of my comment. I said if we were to trade him, this is not a deal we would take. Explain to be what needs are being filled? The only asset we’d want is a first round pick which is there but that’s not nearly enough for Horvat. I’m sure other teams could offer more. You gotta stop hating on every player that isn’t in Boston. Take your homer glasses off and stop being so ignorant.
