Bro it's a hockey website i am not trying to write you my college essay chill
why would horvat walk? if you really think he will i don't think you can be helped
It’s unreadable though. You’re posting with the intention of others reading your post. If you’re writing what should be seven sentences without any punctuation, its just not easy to read. Simple literacy stuff here.
As for why horvat would walk, you’re really going to say all that and accuse others of being homers? Well lets count the ways shall we:
1. He would be hitting UFA at 28. That’s an age where teams seem comfortable going max term and overpaying - hitting the market maximizes his value.
2. Let me preface this by saying this is not my opinion, it just seems to be accepted as fact given how frequently front office types speak of it. I love vancouver, its my favorite city in North America. I love canada. Amazing country. But players don’t want to be there. GMs constantly say that if a player has a 10 team no trade list, 9 times out of 10, all canadian teams are on it. It’s likely mostly a tax issue. Players make way more money in the states. It is what it is.
3. The Canucks are bad. They’re not terrible, but it just doesn’t seem like they’re going to be a contender any time soon. The center market is thin, horvat, while not being a top line player, would likely be able to pick a team that has some better pieces.
It’s pretty easy to see why horvat would at the very least test the market. Pretty hard to see why bergeron would.
