Crouse is the most appealing player on the list. Tkachuk and Meier will both be very expensive and have messy contract situations.

Although I don't think Crouse would be much of an upgrade over Shango/Mercer other than his physicality.

Fiala should be on this list too.

Hughes isn’t held accountable for his skill plays gone wrong because he was on a 94points/82 pace and top 50 in the league in WAR. These takes make me want to rip my hair out.

Also grab one of the UFA wingers from Colo, both big boys! I think this group of guys would help a ton. There is enough skill there to make this team tougher to play against!

His creativity with passing to guys not as talented is tough to watch sometime. Jack thinks his wingers re thinking at his level. Its made for a bunch of bad turnovers and goals!

As mentioned Chucky will be abhorrently expensive. Buddys got a pretty good chance at 40g/100pts this year and he plays a sandpaper game.

If flames contract negotiations get messy Mangiapane could be a more realistic target. Sitting at 30g, hardworking and defensively sound.

Doesn't he have like, 1 goal since March 3rd or whatever? How much of his 30 goals is an unsustainable shooting percentage followed by a regression to the mean? I like his underlyings but 30g 17a is a weird statline.

Yeah, he's in a bit of a skid. 4 points over the last 15 games. His shooting percentage is normalizing a bit but I don't think it will be drastic. It's already down from last year so I think it's maintainable where it's at.
He's still getting lots of looks and his underlying are consistently solid. He also only plays PP 2.

He is an interesting player. I would say he drives play but isn't a playmaker. He likes to carry it in from the neutral zone, drive the net and shoot. Good skater, good at possession and good release. Passing isn't bad but isn't a strength.

He is also a really hard worker. He battles for every puck and seems to be the first man to alot of pucks.

I like him. Idk that I'd pay a first and good prospect for him, but I do like him. Maybe NJD2 (#36) and then something like Walsh or Foote depending on team need?

This package is comparable to what the flames got for Bennett and Mang is worth quite a tick more than Bennett was at that time. Bennett had 4g,12pts/38gp the season he was traded, substantially worse metrics and a career-high of 18g, 36pts/77gp from his first season.

Safe to say Mang has quite a bit more value.
