I think that the return for Chychrun or Provorov is going to be comparable, and I think they can both command a projected top-six forward, a later 1st round pick, a roster player to help balance cap, and a late 2nd round pick. Both guys are still solid 1B defensemen with a reasonable cap hit and term.

By the way, I don't think that Chychrun and Provorov are equivalent value. Chychrun is a year younger and costs 2/3 of what Provorov costs.

I don’t think they’re comparable. If anything Lindholm’s deal should be the comp here. As a Blues fan, I can’t see them trading for example Barbashev, Scandella, a 1st and a 2nd. Barbashev is cost effective and is tied for most points for anyone from Philly rn. He’s the odd man out on the roster and the one that would be the trade piece here. I get the argument about him walking after a season but getting a top 6 forward like Barbashev is something Philly should look into. I would argue Barbashev, Scandella, 2nd and 3rd for Provorov tops
