Good point. I don’t see him making it over other players is my point. You have to assume, the Blues keep at least 2 of the 4 main forwards (Tarasenko, Kyrou, ROR, and Barbashev). Schenn, Thomas, Kyrou, Saad, ROR, Buchnevich would be the Top 6 group. Neighbours, Bolduc, Walker, Toropchenko make up 4/6 bottom 6 guys. Need to sign a center (which won’t be Brown), Acciari, Barbashev (if he signs cheap), someone else via trade or free agency. The last starting spot has to go to a 3rd line C/RW. Perhaps Compher or someone like that. Depth options become Kostin, Bitten, plus other guys we keep/sign which could be plenty of options outside of Brown.

I don’t know. Outside the Top 8 (Buch, Thomas, Tarasenko, Saad, ROR, Kyrou, Schenn, and Barbashev) there are plenty of guys that can fill the role outside of Brown. Acciari is a lock, Neighbours should be on the roster, Walker should be starting, Leivo and Highmore were signed to come in and help. Kostin should be given a shot to start the season, then Toropchenko will come back from injury. Pitlick will sign after his PTO. Bitten can even make an appearance potentially. Bolduc can even be given a shot for 9 games, maybe more. For those 4-6 spots on the roster, the Blues have 10+ guys that can jump in at any time.
