Obviously Mcbain's played well enough to improve on the value from of his original draft position of a 2018 3rd round pick but yielding a 2019 1st by itself would be surprising enough by itself.

Objectively it looks like Ottawa is giving more up than almost any other team's proposed offers.

Easy pass, Soderblom will be a unicorn if he hits his potential. McBain is basically Jimmy Vesey 2.0

I was watching Soderblom highlights the other night and I've never a player that tall skate and handle the puck as well as he does. I wouldn't make this trade but it has nothing to do with McBain. I think the value is about right for what they have accomplished so far.

It’s just wishful thinking, Soderblom is one of my favorite prospects so I’m just trying to get him on the club I root for😂 He’s gonna be a stud if he can continue progressing how he has so far.

I’m good with it, I would’ve been good with anything considering he was never going to sign with us but it was beneficial for both Guerin and McBain so it’s a win-win in my mind.
