1.
WPG
  1. Choix de 1e ronde en 2023 (TOR)
Détails additionnels:
Copp instantly helps the Leafs in their top 6 and PK, faceoff % and will allow Matthews to focus primarily on offense as he can rely on Copp for his defensive abilities.
TOR
  1. Copp, Andrew
Détails additionnels:
1st Round pick and any B-level prospect for Copp as it looks more and more he is leaving for Free Agency.
2.
WPG
  1. Choix de 2e ronde en 2022 (NYR)
Détails additionnels:
A 2nd round pick seems high for Stastny but if an offer like this is available, then the Jets should take it.
NYR
  1. Stastny, Paul
Détails additionnels:
Stastny as a veteran trade pickup for the Rangers can certainly help with secondary scoring and mentorship in the locker room for a play off run.
3.
WPG
  1. Beecher, John [Liste de réserve]
  2. DeBrusk, Jake
  3. Choix de 1e ronde en 2022 (BOS)
Détails additionnels:
Future development of Beecher is the x-factor on the win of the deal and Debrusk to play middle six with Perfetti/Gustafsson in a year.
The basic roster player, prospect and 1st package.
BOS
  1. Scheifele, Mark
Détails additionnels:
This is only a rumour trade that has been circulating, im not for it but a best case scenario is for Sheife to go learn from Bergeron while being able to wait in the wings to play with Pasta and Marchand when Bergeron retires (sad face)

I think you nailed the Copp and Stastny deal. But the scheifele deal just doesn’t have enough coming back to Winnipeg. Scheifele consistently at or around a PPG and is a top 15 offensive C in the league. Like you said learning from Bergeron would be unreal. Would cost Boston likely Carlo + Lysell and a pick.

The Stastny trade is okay, but the Jets shouldn't have to wait for a year for the pick in the Copp trade. They should only accept that as a last resort.

The Scheifele trade is awful for Winnipeg. There's no way the Jets should consider selling that low, they're better off keeping Scheifele at that price.

I'm sorry, where on earth does it say that ANY Jets fan would be happy taking the Bruins deal?? The value is nowhere near.

settle down lol he aint worth carlo+ lysell
as you mentioned yes schiefele is a top 15 offensive center in the league but he is also a bottom 15 defensive center in the league currently he actual holds the spot as worst defensive player in the league, boston prides themsekves on team defence and heavily focuses themselves on strong defensive centers. Lets also not act like schief is 22-23 here he is almost 29 once you hit that age you stop really learning new skills and traits and just start to master then ones you are already good at, i highly doubt schief would pick up a whole lot from bergy in terms of defence and even if he did he would only get marginally better.

ya there ain't many players in this league i would start a deal with carlo+lysell+ more and i can tell you now none of them are on winnipeg

B's would offer maybe lysell+1st+ another prospect or younger player that isn't carlo, pasta, swayman or chucky that is about it but schief ain't helping you guys out this year for value ive caught a few winnipeg games this year and i see no effort from schief unless he has the puck, quite frankly i don't want no half effort players that don't come back on defence. Maybe he just wants out and that is why he is not trying but until something comes out to the reason why he is playing like he his then i would be wary about how much to give up for him

Your reasoning for the Leafs wanting to add Copp is not very sound.

Copp doesnt improve the Leafs in the faceoff circle, he has worse faceoff percentage than all 4 Leafs centerman.

Adding Copp to takeaway Matthews defensive responsiblilty? Matthews is having a Selke type of season right now with his defensive play, the Leafs dont want him to not have to worry about defence as hes playing so well.

A 1st AND a prospect is to much of an ask for a player who would be a bottom 6 roll player

Honestly some very realistic trades. Jets could probably get a bit more out of Boston.

I agree that the reasoning could be better but the trade value is good. Coleman and goodrow got firsts, why not Copp. Abramov could be attached and this instantly makes the leafs better.

I know it’s likely an exaggeration on Carlo + Lysell. But he’s definitely worth more than this package. Scheifele has been quite off this year, like you said just struggling a bit with effort. IMO he probably is unhappy with the teams success, and he was really close with Maurice so likely his resignation is apart of why he’s not putting 100% effort in. Still around a PPG tho. Bergeron would be a perfect mentor for Scheifele. Could see scheifele becoming an elite C with some time learning from Bergy, I know you think he wouldn’t benefit too much, and he’s too old to improve, but many players improve past 28. That’s been proven year after year and scheifele is a hockey nerd and loves to learn more about the game.

Boston just might not be the best trade partner for Winnipeg.

Neither Coleman or Goodrow were rentals like Copp is though. Sure it makes the Leafs better, but does the cost outweigh the return, in this case it looks like it. Dont get me wrong, I would like Copp in the bottom 6, but not if a first rounder is involved

I would argue Copp has more upside than either coleman or goodrow, Coleman also saw foote going the other way who was pretty much a first round pick.
