Getting tired of seeing the same trades over and over again so wanted to do a second version of creating a Finnish Mafia for the Stars at the deadline. They call it Helsinki South for a reason...

Assumption is Nill gets fired today, to be replaced by Jere Lehtinen.

As per Elliotte Friedman of the 32 Thoughts podcast , the Toronto Maple Leafs did kick tires on a number of defensemen before the team pulled the trigger on a trade to add defenseman Ilya Lyubushkin from the Arizona Coyotes. None of those trades materialized because the Leafs weren’t going to give up their 1st or any of their top prospects for a rental.

Toronto and Columbus yell bad words at you and hang up immediately. The Guri for Kapanen swap idea shouldn’t be a thing any more. Guri has improved. Kapanen has been bad. I’d happily take Kappy off their hands and bet on him improving, but not for Guri. I like the Montreal and NJ trades a lot. Need to send more to NJ tho. You paid them to take Dobby and forgot to pay them for KK lol
