Given the standings in the Western Conference right now, changing up the goaltending poses quite a bit of risk. I think the only reason Ken Holland would move Koskinen now is if he can seriously upgrade his team's chances of securing a playoff birth and perhaps surprising a few detractors once they get onto the post season. In that respect, I suppose moving him for Drouin might be a something to consider, especially if Montreal is willing to retain that kind of salary. He'd have to be pretty certain that Jones will be able to provide at least what Koskinen has provided, and statistically I think that is a safe bet.
Realistically though, I doubt the Habs are interested in retaining 50% on Drouin and he might disappear in the playoffs, when the games get heavy. I also think the price for Jones and Braun may be pretty rich for Holland. If he made those moves though, I suspect Skinner would remain in Bakersfield and Woodcroft would give Jones a few starts in order to get used to his new team and to give Smith a rest once in a while.
