Colorado certainly doesn't need Drouin. They can score more than enough. They'll be more worried about keeping goals out of the net and Drouin does less than nothing to help that. Helleson for Drouin SMH only Bergevin is dumb enough to give up a really good defenseman prospect for Drouin

That Edmonton trade is a joke right? Even if you think chiarot is worth a first (he's not), Jake Allen is worth a 3rd at most. It doesn't add up. Goalies notoriously have little value in trades. Can't see a backup goalie being worth one of Edmonton top prospects.

Lol good call ahaha.

Yeah - i really don't know where to trade him. But a retain Drouin would be good on a few top 6.

So you believe Kucherov gave up a prime year of his career and the league team and his doctor's conspired to give him an unneeded surgery to circumvent cap huh 👍

he got a surgery that normally would have taking like 3 or 4 months to heal and stayed out most of the year until the playoffs to win another cup, cheating the cap 101, and what does it matter if he sits out a whole regular season to win a cup, he already had a Art Ross, Hart, and Ted Lindsay, winning another cup is way better for his career then having more of those trophies.

Yanni Gourde had the same surgery by the same surgeon prior to the 18-19 season was 3 months from surgery to skating,2 months skating to playing.
Brayden Point same surgery same surgeon prior to the 19-20 season 3months surgery to skating 2 months skating to playing
Kucherov 3months surgery to skating 2 months skating to playing see a pattern here.

Didn’t they just clean 9.5 mil with Stone to LTIR?

I don’t honk they will have to pay to trade Smith and Roy either

Its the fact that he was allowed to play in the playoffs after not counting against the cap all year. The league should require the player above a certain cap hit to count against the cap at some point in the season. What is to stop a player from claiming some non physical medical reason (ie depression) for not playing all year and then makes a miracle recover for the playoffs?

I don't disagree with that but in Kucherov's case the league docs reviewed all the medical data and approved it.

Colorado is going after Claude Giroux, There's no way they get Drouin as well without a 3rd team involved they just don't have the cap.

nah - he didn't go on LITR to circumvent the cap... he stayed on it longer than necessary to circumvent the cap... he was ready game 1 of the playoffs... what an extraordinary coincidence as he was not able to comeback before the end of the regular season du to TBL being over the cap.

Colorado doesn't need Drouin they are going to be more concerned with preventing goals than scoring . Giroux fits the preventing role well if he adds goals awesome
