Value aside, we don't need wingers or left d. We need a #1 center, a couple solid defensive right d, and a competent goalie that can reliably play 30-50 games a year for a year or two. There are talented wingers and left d that are coming very soon.

He's worthless to the Blues, who have several guys in the minors who can do his job. Meanwhile, Bortz plays every night and is the only one in the organization who fills a specific and necessary role. Army is not trading a needed cog he JUST re-signed to a team-friendly deal two days ago for an unneeded one. How anyone could imagine this is even open to discussion is beyond me.
