Wings not paying more for him, as he has 2 years left, he is 31 and making 5 million a year. Wings more apt to get a LHD on a one year deal for a pick or sign a UFA, as they have alot of cap.

Detroit is taking the long approach with Ras. They are not going to give up young centers and picks for an older defenseman at this point in their timeline. Yes he would be a big upgrade on the left side but I think the trade is counter productive. For a player of Rasmussen's current value and a third, the trade would be a great pickup/value for a playoff team.
Leddy and Namestnikov for Brodie would be a win for Detroit but I don't think Toronto trades Brodie unless they need cap relief and Dubas sees that as the way to get it. In that case I think Toronto will be looking for better assests that either of the trades mentioned for him.

Murray has a 922 Sv%,
Forsberg has a 911Sv%.
Ottawa does not want Mrazek, his $4M cap hit, or 899 Sv%.
