For that reason alone, yes. But, realistically, definitely not a good trade for Detroit. We receive 3 guys who all have arguably negative value for Oesterle (who is worth close to nothing) and Namestnikov who has real value, both to our team and as a trade piece.

In your order:

-Arizona isn't doing all this losing just to flip that probably top-3 pick for a year & change of Varlamov, especially since they seem high on Vejmelka at this point.

-Buffalo is in last place and wouldn't be going out of their way to get a veteran blue line presence, much less two of them.

-Bailey's contract is becoming a bit of an albatross so you're most likely sending a 3rd with him for a guy like Caleb Jones, as opposed to getting a pick & a player for him (also didn't Chicago sign Caleb specifically because of Seth? Doubt they trade him this soon.)

-The Detroit deal works if Yzerman confuses "a Sebastian Aho" with "the Sebastian Aho", but realistically, if they move Namestinkov it'll be for a mid-round pick to a contender.

-The TBL deal makes the least sense somehow, Maroon has specifically re-signed with Tampa at a discount to chase Cups, plus he's got a partial NTC. Add that into the fact that Casey still having 5x$2.5M, he's not an incredibly attractive option for Tampa either.
