Why does almost every PIT post here have a Kappy trade involved right now?

I feel like adding Zucker in there, although he does have some value, wouldn't be any value to Detroit. I would say Zucker and POJ cancel each other out. So basically Kapanen, as late first and a third from Vrana. That's not awful but I would prefer to keep Vrana personally.

Ikr. I don’t think kappy is going anywhere. He’s looked sick and can play almost anywhere. I think it’s a little much.

Zucker is a negative asset with his cap hit and term. Vrana is potentially a 30-40 goal scorer in a full season. You have to add at least another 1rst , 2nd and retain %50 on Zucker.

POJ and the 3rd are basically the incentive to take Zucker who is a decent player on a bad contract. Kapanen and a first seems close. Another first is just too much. I can see adding another forward like Poulin or Legare. His career high is 25 goals so 30 plus is reasonable but 40? Most guys in the league don’t even come close to 40.

I guess it depends what Detroit thinks of poj. They have a lot of ld prospects. I'd want Pettersson in the deal.

Detroit is a rebuilding team that doesn't need wingers who aren't working out in Pittsburgh. We need centers, we have plenty of wingers now with more coming up next year. I believe Yzerman is going to consider Zucker a cap dump that you need to pay to get rid of. Kapanan and Zucker are going to cost Detroit 8.7 million this year and 5.5 million for Zucker next year. We will take it but you pay rebuilding teams to take your players that aren't panning out. I'm not saying those guys, especially kapanan, don't have value but try a contender with holes or in need of depth. I don't see Detroit trading a young goal scorer for a few older forwards on bad contracts. As for Vrana, after he arriving Detroit, he was on a 30-40 Goal pace through a full season. For Yzerman to trade him I think it would have to be for a very good 2nd line center or a Mantha type return.

Over paid and over rated.

There isn't a single player on Pittsburgh I would trade for Vrána. Most of their best players are close to or over 30.
