Description
They NEED to figure out how to play a good 3rd period, period!
That being said, the back end is decent but lacks defensive depth. The offensive player depth on D is fine, but a good defensive guy... need some of that! And maybe some Center depth for insurance for Kampf. As much as I think Chychrun is fantastic, he isn't the right fit. I think Mayfield is a perfect fit as well as Severson, or maybe Colin Miller.
I also think that going after Miller is a better choice than Severson because it would be cheaper most likely and allows them to keep Ritchie, who lets be honest, they got for Playoff hockey.
There is also Manson from Ana, who depending on the price I would take over Miller.

Severson would be good. Miller not good and Mayfield would be awful in the Leafs Possession system. I would get Braun and not move a Defenceman.

It appears there’s gonna be a fair bit of interest in Miller
Enough that reports are saying the Sabres are looking for a 1st for him
Now i don’t necessarily think that happens (unless someone gets desperate) , but i do think a 2nd + makes sense
In this trade in particular,
i just don’t see Abramov having ANY value for us whatsoever
So idk if he’s the “+” that would get us to choose your offer over the others that we’ll get
I think you’d likely have to give a better piece

Yeah and Detroit probably isn’t interested in helping you out of your cap problem and paying for the privilege.

Aside from that, the wings have a strong rhd core. They just don’t need him.
