Pretty quick no from Montreal.

Assuming Chiarot does warrant a first, Montreal isn't taking back two worthless cap dumps for Jake Allen

Yeah those to together would cost a 1st + 2nd + 3rd. To take the cap dumps add Lavoie and a similar prospect

Bourgault >> a 1st 2nd 3rd and Lavoie
Bourgault is worth quite a bit more than Oilers 1st RD pick

Is he, I don't know him at all. He would have to be Suzuki level for me to consider taking that deal then. If he is that level then sure, but I would still want one more peice for taking the 2 bad contracts lol.

Maybe he does - but not in Montreal? A young, French Canadian offensive star? Sounds familiar, the fans and pressure would ruin him, IMO. I'd rather a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and a prospect for the cap dumps tbh. Bourgault is great, I just don't think it'd work in MTL with the toxic pressure on French players.

***Holland has a presser adamantly saying he won’t move a 1st or top prospect for a rental…… then you go ahead and trade Bourgault for rentals haha

McCann is good, but not moving that much for him

Bourgault's value isn't that much higher since he was drafted. He's a late 1st. Maybe you don't move him for that, but three picks and another prospect is way over valuing.

Holland seems pretty set on not acquiring rentals, so scratch Chiarot. (He'll look like an idiot if he does it now.)
Unless you're including Chiarot with an extension.

22nd OA isn’t that late
Lavoie is a bust so almost no value
Adding Allen & Chiarot I see the Oilers going deep (especially with all those acquisitions)

He is the top scorer in the qmjhl. Pretty much almost the same amount if points roy and simoneau have. You can argue that roy was not a 1st round pick but that is his value

Chiarot is for a 1st and 3rd/ B prospect. Allen is worth a 2nd and a 3rd. Therefore the trade could be : Allen and Chiarot for Bourgault, Konovalov, 2nd,3rd,3rd, Koskinen, 4th

I agree that the players help the Oilers. Holland has simply gone on record that he wouldn't do it.

Draft values drop precipitously as you get later in the 1st round. The difference between 22 and 32 is marginal compared to late teens. Anything past 20 is a late first.

Not it if your team is any good. He's a career backup. Whenever he's the starter he isn't good.

He is now and he is better than good. Our team can’t score goals and can’t play defense but he still saving 40+ shots every nights and he doesn’t have any breaks because Montembeault is atrocious
