Absolutely no reason for the Sabres to make that trade. So Mrarek stays, Holtby doesn't come. Is Braun really an improvement?

This is all lateral stuff that really doesn't change anything.

I doubt Buffalo would have any interest in Mrazek at this point. Possibly Edmonton but, even that seems like a long shot.

i mean i dont really understand the point of this.. why are we trading mrazek, dermott, and a 2nd for holtby a 3rd and a 5th? its just so pointless.

Allow me to enlighten you…….

Holtby is better then Mzarek and is cheaper and is free agent at end of season. That means if soup goes down we have a better replacement and we have mzareks money to sign soup next summer. And we have money to spend at trade deadline for a replacement for Holl.

Dermott is not making the leafs as anything but a depth guy but would be nice cheap replacement for Arizona when they trade Chychrun
