That's a lot to give up for Chychrun, but i do it if i'm the Rangers. A Chychrun-Fox D pair would easily be top 5 in the league, maybe the best. It also solves the bottleneck at RHD, clearing way for Schneider to move into the 3RD spot, and pushes Lindgren & Miller down to lower competition pairings.

Anaheim has no interest on Phil

The ducks pass. They aren’t trading their top prospect (not counting Zegras & Drysdale as prospects) for ~20 games of Kessel.

The Red Wings need some cap hit next year but I don't think Schmaltz is the way to fill it. Wallinder is looking good as a prospect and Schmaltz cap hit is very high for his production.
Red Wings shouldn't be paying the 4th round pick but receiving a pick to take that contract

Zegras and Drysdale aren’t prospects, they are NHL caliber and NHL regulars at this point. Zegras I’m a bit jealous of haha

Yes, I think that's much closer, but I think that you can keep the third. The problem is that Anaheim is particularly weak at RW, and Kessel only partially solves that problem for the remainder of this season; we're reluctant to trade Perreault precisely because he may be our second future RW along with Troy Terry.
