Why would the Knights sell off Theodore to get cap space when there are other options that don’t involve, you know, losing their young #1 defenseman? And that’s not enough for him either, if the Isles could get him for that price he’d be gone weeks ago.

It's very possible they could get more. He's just not playing well right now and seems to be the odd man out at the moment, in my opinion.

The other option that would make sense is Dadonov but then why even bring him in in the first place knowing you were going try and get Eichel.

You would have most teams in the league knocking at the door if thats all it took for Theodore.

While Theodore isn’t playing as well as he did last season (career years are hard to replicate), he’s still playing at near an elite level, so I don’t get the “not playing great” argument. Chychrun has become hell on skates this season and people are still trading him on here for top picks + prospects, so I don’t see why Theodore shouldn’t still be getting market value while he’s playing at an astronomically higher level.

They will get lesser value due to the fact that teams know Vegas needs to shell cap. Same way the Islanders only got 2 2nd round picks for Devon Towes a few years back. Not saying a 1st and a 4th will do it but it will be less than market value.
