Not really if you think about it. He's signed most UFAs to 1 and 2yr deals because they do have a lot of prospects you just don't know when some one will be ready. Look at Raymond there weren't many who thought he would go right to the NHL. Did anyone think Lindstrom would beat out Stecher.

You always try and be smart with the cap. Even if we have alot of space right now, we might decide to sign a couple big free agents or bring in a high salary player and then it becomes a bigger problem
