He’s getting about 3rd line minutes plus PK time. Trotz rolls 4 lines. Our first line, not Barzal, gets anywhere from 14-17 minutes a night. Parise is the hardest worker on the team.

I’ve never had an issue with his effort! In fact, I often instructed the kids I’ve coached to watch Parise play because of his effort and willingness! However, he and Suter were absolute cancers because of the way they over-ran coaches and GMs because they (especially Suter) were bffs with the owner. Suffice it to say that the success the Wild are having this year has a LOT to do with those two clowns being shown the door!!

Yeah it seems like it could benefit both teams. Fiala with Barzal and Wahlstrom would be a very effective and fun line. Minnesota gets a high upside player that hits his stride when the Parise/Suter dead cap era ends. Pick(s) can be negotiated to balance.

Parise plays hard but Parise happens to play for a coach that rewards players based on age. If a young player struggled to produce like Parise he would have been a healthy scratch weeks ago.
