Honestly I'd much rather keep Paul over Debrusk, QO and arb rights are scaring team off of Debrusk and Paul will likely still offer great value on his next deal. Feel like Holden could net a mid round pick as well. I'd much rather use Tierney with the 50% retention you had going to the Oilers as the base.
I also don't see a lot of value in giving up assets for Debrusk. There does need to be another top 6 piece, but it really needs to be a Right-hand shot when Pinto returns, and Brady, Stutzle, Formenton all LW it makes it too crowded. C Brown could still fill in that role for another top 6 RW after Batherson, but Ideally, you would want someone with a little more offensive play to play with Stuzle or on the top line and drop Batherson with Stuztle.
Also keeping Paul to play with White and C Brown would be the ultimate 3rd line, moving forward.
I do like how you brought up Sokolov, if Formenton is staying on the 3rd line then the ideal other winger to play with him IMO would be Sokolov, they are both speedy guys with decent to good hands and shots.
Forsberg should be moved for a pick, and what ever you can get for holden, J Brown, Del Zotto, Zaitev.
Do you not see Sanderson & Thompson to be mixed in the D core at the end of the year as well for sure.
