MTL and NYR make the most sense, but I could see Seattle taking a chance on him if the Flames go for one of their guys with 1 year left on their contract.
I could even see Detroit not being one of the teams on NTC and him going there with how well they have played compared to expectations.
Huge part of this whole post is that we have no idea who is on or off the NTC, I just used the bottom 10 teams from last year because there is no point in this exercise if I am just guessing. I get what you are saying though for sure.

He likely wouldnt block a trade to Ottawa, especially over Edmonton. He played in Ottawa for juniors so he knows the area well
As said in the description, bottom ten teams from last year. Shouldn't have Edmonton on there that would be really dumb and lessen his leverage, just as a player in Philly would never have to put Pittsburgh on the a NTC. Calgary and Edmonton won't have a trade between the two of them other than a Smid/Lucic type deal, his NTC in reality is probably close to 20 teams due to different circumstances.
- 10 teams he doesn't want to go to
- Teams Calgary will never make a blockbuster with (EDM, VAN)
- Team that 100% cannot afford a deal (Tampa, Vegas, St Louis)
- Teams that don't need a mid 6 C (Winnipeg, Washington, Pittsburgh, Toronto etc)
He gets to remake his ten team list at the start of the season, he completely deleverages his position if he puts any of the above teams on there.
