Then the trade wouldn't be worth it for Boston. Boston would only give up Lysell if Petterson is involved.

Trading Boeser for a late 1st and a couple busts isn't worth it for the Canucks. If they aren't willing to add Lysell there's no deal to be made

Never said this trade was worth it, but if you think you're getting Lysell for Boeser you're crazy. I can see Beecher being involved, but Lysell is off the table unless the return player is elite.

and why exactly are we crazy for wanting the 21st pick from a meh draft?

I watch the Giants, and live 10 minutes from where they play. He's a solid spec 100%, but his ceiling is lower than Brocks. He has good chemistry but is the 2nd best player on the team to Florida's Sourdif.
Just because he is your best prospect doesn't make him a world-beating talent. There's no deal here if he isn't in it. Debrusk isn't ncessary here and can be dropped.

Vancouver is SELLING at a low point so they don't get to WIN the deal.

Boeser is also struggling and has for sometime so he does not get to keep the cache' of being a "stud".

Deal = BB for JD & 1st (likely a mid 1st the way Bos is playing) and that'll give Van 2-firsts (one a lottery) BONUS...

Canucks decline. If the Canucks are selling, why do they need JD? He’s just be a cap dump essentially. You realize the Canucks don’t have to trade with the bruins. I’m sure this deal gets best by many other teams

Sure OTHER teams may have something - but that's for other posts. This one has ^ ^ ^ posted...hence the discussion on THIS trade proposal.

And this was their year too - LOL

Zero chance Bruins trade Lysell unless it is for a good centre.

Boeser is fine. He doesn't require a team's top prospect in a trade unless the player is elite which Boeser is not. He's a good player for sure. But when an NHL player and a 1st is already included in the deal, you're not getting a top prospect on top of that.

Your top prospect is not a top prospect on most other teams. Bruins fans did this last year with Studnicka too... a lower tier top prospect that, since he is your best prospect, suddenly becomes unmovable.

If y'all wont move him - which given the teams average age and closing window, kinda makes sense - I don't want to see any more Brock to BOS trades. It doesn't work. It has to work for both sides. It doesn't here.

The issue is that we aren't selling Brock at all...

And you listed the reason. He isn't off to a good start. His value is low. Why should a team that is desperately starved for talent sell low?

Firstly, Boston isn't my team. It's my wife's favorite team, but not mine. Secondly, people tend to overvalue their own players a lot in the trade market which is understandable. A trade of DeBrusk, Beecher, and a 1st is more than enough.
You're saying Lysell isn't a top prospect on any team, yet you're saying he's the only one you want? Not saying he's a Byfield or anything like that, but he is a B to B+ prospect so he would easily be a top prospect for most teams.

I didn't say he isn't on ANY, i said on most. If other teams are more willing to move their B to B+ prospects, we will wait out their offers. Beecher isn't bad, but by moving Brock a wing prospect is ideal.

It's easy to move a center to a wing position. Hell it helps to have that on a team. I dont blame you for wanting Lysell, it's just not realistic at this point unless the return is an elite player.
