he's playing 3rd line minutes. hes behind lindholm and backlund in terms of TOI. for 6.375m thats not worth a 1st. Calgary should move him if they think they can get a 40+ point 20+ goal player out of debrusk

He has almost identical 5v5 ice time to Backlund this year so he's playing 2nd line minutes.

I think the bruins could get that out of debrusk if they would just let him play his game. Bruins have this idea of playing all around everybody plays no exceptions team defense and some guys simply arent suited for that. Kessel wasnt suited for that among others... do i think debrusk is a 17% shooter and an elite goal scorer no. do i think he can be a 25-15 guy on a team that lets him play more freely? yeah easily. hes got a good shot, hes got good speed. Bruins want him to be a do it all player and clearly he isnt that.

and honestly the bruins already got 20-20 out of the player. hes 25 not 35. you know what hes capable of and then some. he just doesnt want to be in boston anymore. pretty easy to see why.
