Shattenkirk is RD not LD and he's not signing with Carolina any ways.

Shatty has said he wants to sign with the Rangers. But theres always a massive deal that could sway him elsewhere.

It could be quite possible if the Rangers can't afford to sign Shattenkirk, Then i could see him going to the highest bidder.

I just don't see a budget minded team and a budget minded GM in Francis eating...$18M...for a player to play on another team. I think it's more likely E Staal goes back for a contract next year that's bigger than the offer he was going to get last year.

I don't see CAR paying PIT $3M for 6 yrs to have Stall; they're in the same division and that's a lot of money for a small market team to sacrifice. Very unrealistic. The goalie market is looking good for buyers right now. If I'm Carolina I'm exploring other options.

The value is way off on the Murray trade. No way Pens take that, and somehow it's still not a good deal for Carolina with the retained salary. Slavin is valuable, but you'd be better off keep him.
