Getzy is a Duck for life, regardless of his production.

Hi neighbour (sorta of). I like Kerfoot, but don't think a second rounder is enough to get Miller. An AHLer Andersen kinda meaningless in a trade.
In effect two first rounders for Getzalf seems steep, but I understand that maybe just maybe he would put the the Leafs over the top.

Miller is top-10 in league scoring with less GP than those tied with him. Try Liljegren + 1st.

My thought process on Getzy would be that i dont believe the Ducks can keep playing at the level they are right now and if they fall out of a playoff spot i wonder if he would consider a move to a potential cup contender. The ducks are killing it though, its a pipe dream more than anything would love a solid very high end 3C in Toronto to make them legit.

Getz has a home in SoCal, 4 young kids in SoCal, and a NMC. He ain't going anywhere, regardless of where the team is in the standings. Last year showed that...they didn't even bother asking him because they knew the answer.

Would I take that for him? Absolutely, but there's really no point talking about it because it's not going to happen.

What are your thoughts about Kerfoot, Robertson and a 2nd? Could see Benning get fleeced one last time before hes gone and there have been reports about how pissed off Miller was after the COVID handling last year

The Leafs would look so good with a high end 3C, even if we still had Kadri down the middle a 3C that can produce and be a pain in the ass would make a huge difference. Definitely understand the need to add more for Miller just wanted to fleece Benning before hes gone

To be honest, there really isn't much from Toronto that would interest Vancouver. The Canucks need young RHD, but not the type that Liljegren is. I really don't think TOR and VAN are a fit for a move on the scale of a Miller trade.

Vancouver would be interested in Holl, though I'm not actually convinced he'll be moved.

Why isn't Benning gone? Seems to be problem in any business. The higher ups in any organization, hire a guy, the guy doesn't perform well, but they DON'T fire him, because it would make the people that originally hired him look incompetent.
Teams that are poor shouldn't be near the cap...like Vancouver. Gee, for years the Leafs had the incompetent Brian Burke spending to the cap and the team hardly made the playoffs. It's my belief in cap league, a competent GM just might be the important element in the organization.

Agree with you, don't think there is fit for these two teams. Yeah, I can't see the Leafs moving a NHL Dman when they only have seven in the entire organization. Unless a better was returned, Holl and the rest of the Dmen, I gotta think remain Leafs.

You gave up more for Getzlaf than for Miller.... Unless the return is a top pairing RHD, Vancouver declines.
