Technically, the name is after a WWI army division. Yes, that division named after Chief Black Hawk of the Sauk tribe. I very much doubt the name changes. The logo on the other hand might and I'm ok with that.

A lot of people on CapFriendly are snobs. Get used to it. hahaha. But i'm pretty sure the logo is the problem most people refer to when they talk about rebranding. The name is fine.

I got it though! If the name "has to change", it should be the Chicago Wolves and just steal the AHL teams logo but keep our colors. Then switch our AHL affiliate to the Wolves as well. Then they wouldn't have to travel all the way to and from Rockford, SOOOO FARRRRRR!

LOL yes. It was sooo dumb when the Canes AHL team changed from Charlotte to Chicago. It was such an easy trip from everyone in the Canes org lol

The Wolves affiliate changes almost every year it seems like. I guess Chicago is a nice Center Hub for teams all over the league. That and it's right across the street from O'hare airport.

Plus, Chicago is a big market and the wolves will always have fans no matter what.
