Agreed that the proposal isn't enough but I don't think there's many players that Ottawa would make Sanderson available for, and they also wouldn't add a possible top-10 pick in a great draft

Yeah, well a defenseman of Weegar's calibre is a guy they'd make Sanderson available for. He is already everything that Sanderson just projects to be. Also, the pick surely wouldn't be top10 if the Sens added Weegar to their roster.

I would bet a very high amount they wouldn't even consider.

There's a reason why a guy like Miro Heiskanen was a no go for Erik Karlsson, who was a few levels above what Weegar will ever be.
