I'd do that trade, but Ekholm shouldn't be getting a prospect like Holloway back -- especially since I doubt EDM can re-sign him considering all the just money they gave Nurse for next season.

That would give NSH a solid young group at forward though -- Tolvanen, Tomasino, Glass, Kunin, Afanasyev, Svechkov, L'Heureux, and Holloway + Lavoie

Gibson isn't worth trading for. Holloway won't be moved. San Jose doesn't make those trades. Archibald is going on LTIR.

Lots wrong with this, but the main thing is this: why is Edmonton emptying he cupboards for 1 run when their core players are all around 25 years old? That makes no sense.

All in for 1 year and still a huge achilles heel on RHD. Barrie- a 4th forward, Bouchard- a rookie, and Koekkoek or Russell playing their off side.

Timo trade is decent but the Hertl trade is miles off.

In my humble opinion, Edmonton shouldn't be trading away excellent prospects like Broberg, Holloway and Yamamoto (if you'll excuse the characterization of the latter), and perhaps even Lagesson, Lavoie and Skinner.

I think that there's something wrong with the strategy when two of your three major trades add to the forward crew -- where no one has previously accused Edmonton of lacking quality.

Skinner, Turris, and lageson are 3 prospects/ players sharks have ZERO need for, and the picks aren't enough to offset the players your getting in return. sharks decline.
these are the more realistic trades and I feel are very fair.

2022 1st, 2023 2nd, and Yammamoto
Meir:
2022 2nd, plus Holloway
Reimer
Koskinen (cap dump) and 2023 3rd plus 2024 3rd. (the additional 3rd is for the cost of picking up Koskinen's salary)

this being said I don't see any of these happening other than the Reimer deal. your forward group is solid without Hertl or Meier.
what you guy need is better Goaltending and D depth.

Not close at all on the sharks trades.

Ducks would want more for Gibson especially if they are trading him inside the division, same goes for hertl
