I know its an unpopular opinion, but I can't stand Lehner. We were all on his side when he came out with his mental health issues, but since he's become one of the biggest whiners in all of the NHL, always finding something to go after and continuously inserting himself into other situations, especially this latest thing with Vigneault when he has never played anywhere with Vigneault, and instead of providing evidence he simply hypes up the whole thing. If this stuff does turn out to be true, I still find it kinda scummy on his part as he, in my opinion, inserted himself and made it all about Lehner.

i dont see how hes making it about himself, hes just trying to make a difference. its honestly pretty weird to discount someone trying to do something good as hogging attention.

theres clearly a lot of problems in the league, and i for one am happy that an active nhl player who has experience in mistreatment by the league is speaking out, i wish more of them were doing the same.

I take issue with how he goes about it. He decides to bring these issues out on twitter, provides no evidence, and bashes coaches he never played for. The way he phrases things feels quite self centered, and I worry what he's doing isn't something that will actually help the NHL. I would be much more willing to believe someone who provides evidence or at least in the Vigneault case is someone who actually played for him becuase otherwise it very quickly becomes a He said/She Said situation. I also am surprised that of all the players in the NHL, and especially in the wake of people coming out against Chicago, that someone that hasn't had first hand experience is the one to make these claims.

A lot of people thought that but Lehner himself tweeted that He barely know Nolan and basically said it wasn't about Nolan, so its really anyone's guess where he gets this info from.

Robin Lehner is a prime example of what improper treatment for mental health can do, which is why he is so outspoken most likely. It’s an Illness that carries a huge stigma that most probably don’t understand until they themselves have it.

That being said, who gives a fudge about evidence? This issue is ruining peoples lives and the people responsible are not being held responsible. So kudos to Lehner for making the conversation happen. Whether how you like how it came up or not is kind of moot point. The bigger picture is the NHLPA and NHL are not acting with Players health in mind first. It’s obvious. Jack Eichel, Lehners post, Daniel Carcillo and Steve Montador, Bob Probert etc. there’s more than a few stories where things could have gone way differently if they had better league execs that would be willing to part with more money they pocket to provide better mental health to its players.
