Eichel trade

Créé par: KentMcNally

Description
I think any team should try to trade for Eichel now, when his value is lowest.
If Eichel is somehow playing for BUffalo (to prove that he is back after the surgery...whatever that may be) and is lighting it up (or even doing well) that only helps Buffalo ask for more.

I argue that a team should give the Sabres what they want now and take the risk rather than have Eichel come back and play until teh trade deadline and possibly really increase his value.

The players from Montreal will get Buffalo to the salary cap floor.

I don’t see Suzuki or Caufield as part of the deal you don’t get it done without one of those two sorry

Friedge said that Eichel is likely to fail his physical and not be cleared to play. So Eichel saga is far from over. But he wants to play in Olympics so somethings gonna have to budge eventually.

Neither is worth losing for damaged goods, Buffalo wouldn’t see either since they won’t let Eichel recover.

Apparently Eichel at 10m is Eric Lindros on an ELC now. I can't wait for this to be over.

Lindros's trade had infinitely more value than this

Never said he wouldn’t be fine. But you also can’t guarantee anything, which we all should know by now.

There’s no guarantee he’ll be 100% (I think he’ll be fine) but you can’t ask for quality goods when you’re sending back damaged goods that you also purposefully won’t fix.

Yeah the Sabres deserve a good return and shouldn’t move him for less, but asking for 3-5 first round high quality assets including basically a young star now in Suzuki and potential all star Caufield can’t happen when Eichel:

Won’t be available for camp
Won’t be healthy
Hasn’t gotten any form of surgery to begin recovery/ rehab
Won’t play until TBD

Im not talking the deal above either I’m just talking on Caufield/ Suzuki. Yeah kids like Turcotte should be on the table, but not the caliber of players in the other two as ones proven that he could be a 1C and the other has shown no signs of slowing down his elite potential.

Yeah, but Eichel isn't Lindros on an ELC. He's going to be 25 and might not even play this season. I would expect offers to look more like this than the Lindros trade. You'll be lucky to get a single blue chip prospect back in a 1 for 1. He makes 10m. Next season he'll be traded to Boston for Beecher and a 1st, when he says he won't go anywhere else.

I doubt it, he already said he wants out of Buffalo, that decreases his trade value by a lot.
