I originally read the first book for school years ago, but I've recently decided to pick up reading the entire series - I am currently halfway through the 3rd book. It's a bit silly at times, but it's still good fun to read.

There is a movie made for the first book. I'd recommend watching it after you have read the first book since it helps put a face to some of the characters.

Jack Reacher or Jack Ryan

Finished the series awhile ago, but wow... what a final 2 books. From what I read it sounds like the author was dealing with some things mentally whenever he wrote them. Interesting finale to say the least.

For me, it's Hunger Games. And I'm also a science student, so if we're talking about science books, then it will be the Discover Science series. And honestly, I love science books, and they are always interesting for me and good for my professional development. But of course, as a student, I face some problems, for example, with writing lab reports, so now I'm looking for books that will help me to improve. But it's very important to have my own skills developed, so I'm doing my best.

If you're a fan of fantasy, I cannot recommend the Inheritance Cycle (the Eragon series) enough. The movie was an absolute farce and the second book has the misfortune of having to supply a ton of exposition for the rest of the story (bit of a slog) but all four books are just excellent.

Also, for the fellow Star Wars fans, the two canon Thrawn trilogies are masterpieces and may or may not be setting up the next major phase in that universe, filling the gap between Mando and TFA.

I can confirm the Eragon series is a great series, whether read in French or English.
