Hawks pass we’re not taking on Petterson’s bad contract

I don't know if it's really that bad, but the Hawks do indeed pass. Kasper isn't anything of interest. If Joel Blomqvist was swapped in instead of Kasper...and everything else stays the same...I'd think about it longer.

The Blues are almost certainly not doing that, but you might be able to use Rust and O'Connor in a Tarasenko deal.

I’d have interest on Peterson with retention + for Dylan Strome.

Seattle: Declines (They had a chance to take Zucker already and Francis is very high on Fluery)

Chicago: Accepts with minor changes ( may need to sweeten the pot a tad bit but right idea)

New Jersey: Declines ( probably another 2-3 years before they’re selling out the future for a cup run, moving Rust is interesting though given that Pitt probably can’t resign both Kapanen and him next offseason)

St Louis: Declines ( would need more value)

Francis loves Fleury so doubt he moves him. Soucy would be more realistic. Also don’t think Seattle is interested in Zucker at his cap hit. They seem to be saving cap space for next season based on this offseason. Don’t think this deal makes sense or any with Zucker to Seattle.

Devils aren’t going to be trading first rounders for rentals yet. Maybe next season.

Blues are clearly waiting on higher value. They’re banking on Tara showcasing during first half of season to create a bidding war. Or if he can’t stay healthy hes an LTIR candidate. Don’t think there’s gonna be a sell low trade with high upside on him at this point given how the situation has played out.
