We don’t know what has actually transpired in the locker room. He and Geo got into it and the team split it up, then management said he was done in NYR. It’s possible that no one else had any issues with him other than Geo and coaches(coaches that were a problem themselves). It’s just good for thought really. Everyone is certain of a buyout when that makes the least sense if the only player he has issues with are the back up G. Also I’m missing what you’re saying about the G2 and LW3?

That trade idea was made before the signing, when it was very possible he would hold out to sign with NYR for free. Now that he has signed it doesn't make as much sense, but it still has the nepotism connection and fills minor prospect needs

It's nonsense because it is OBVIOUS he will be bought out. They didn't sit the guy all this season for NO reason. It wasn't personal between him and Gorton, it was several things he did over his years with the team. You don't think Drury knows that? You think he wants to bring a cancer back into the locker room? It has NOTHING to do with his free time or political views, it has to do with TEAM CHEMISTRY and TEAM RULES. He obviously crossed the line more than once and was warned by the GM that the next time was his last, and then he crossed it again with Georgie. He got the boot, and he earned it, so there is no way on earth they bring him back into the locker room. It's nonsense to think they would even entertain the idea. The cheapest way to get rid of him is a buy out because he only gets 1/3 of the total owed. No other team wants to take a chance on him at that cap hit, and who could blame them, and to trade him it would cost more than a buy out because they would have to hold onto 50% of his cost. It's math.

The issues with the team last year were specifically linked to Geo and Quinn. At least publicly speaking. Unless you’re in that locker room and have info the rest of us don’t?!
