Eklund is the most balanced prospect as far as high potential mixed with a low floor so I would take him 1. Bet the Sabres don't tho.

If Buffalo is not sold on Owen Power I imagine they would try to trade down and still get their guy while picking up an extra asset. I don’t know if the ducks see him as a player they have to have, or that Seattle would trade up one spot to get him if they know we don’t intend on picking him, and don’t want to risk not being able to get Eklund.

Tbh I'm not sure Buf gets a prospect as good as Byram from any team let alone that plus Newhook. I'm far more curious what actually happens than hating but I don't think Col is an actual option, they aren't going to go out and get a 10m forward before they get their own guys locked in, and even then the only trades Sakic does usually end up being 1 sided fleeces
