Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

Now I'm a big proponent of a full-fledged rebuild, but man has Chicago done well in these few years of being bad. They have a great blend of young and old, a lot of decent prospects, and a good amount of cap space. Obviously, goaltending is a question mark but I've chosen not to adress that here in hopes that Lankinen can keep this up. If he doesn't, Chicago has a problem. The main thing I tweaked here was the D-core, they have been big in Seth Jones trades as well as have been rumored shopping Keith. I think both Columbus and Chicago will be happy with this trade, especially if Chicago can work out an extension with Jones. With the Keith trade, I added in Strome as I feel he isn't part of the future plans, but Edmonton would love to have him as someone who played with McDavid in junior. You get Caleb Jones to reunite the Jones brothers, as well as some decent picks. For the XD, Chicago really doesn't need to worry as they have almost no one that will be unprotected that they really want.

I like the value on the Edmonton trade, I did pretty much this exact same thing a day or two ago. Could maybe throw in koskinen to have a veteran backup to help push lankinen. Also keeps the money more even for Edmonton, might be able to gain a better pick than the sixth if so.
I think that's a good return for Columbus considering he is technically a rental.

Googles “ Chicago Blackhawks” and reading newspaper headlines will land you to thinking like this. Stan Bowman will actually draft Aatu Raty and will overpay for a slow veteran player to go with Toews that is a completely different style of player than any of Toews past line mates and pray for the best.
