I think Nurse, Bear and Caleb are protected and Klef and his unknown return and injury concerns left exposed along with Russel and Lagesson. Barrie and Larsson are UFA. Bouchard, Broberg, Samorikov etc are exempt. Also we still dont know the official ruling on Klefboms exemption status based off of him missing the entire past season and up in the air return/delays or retirement

I think in that division yeah, probably not going to be competitive and should do a rebuild. But wouldn’t underestimate how desperate GMs are to keep their jobs. Could see them looking at another big trade or a high end free agent

I can see a big trade, but unless they're overpaying I just don't see them being big players in UFA. Kinda feels like they're Winnipeg South. Hope I'm wrong.
