Can't see this happening. I understand Dubois' value is low, but no one wants your bad Coyle contract......

Isn't Reilly a pending UFA?

Reilly is a UFA, so he has no value. Coyle with his contact will cost a few firsts minimum to try and dump and you still may need to take back a smaller or shorter cap dump.

Yeah I thought it would be a bit of a stretch. I’m not sure how the jets value him right now and was thinking would the jets consider an exchange of two players that have underachieved so far. Coyle contract is not great looking right now but I think if he was on the jets and was positioned in a higher role that it might be a better fit. I have to think he would be able to produce the same number as what Statsny was able too.

Dubois is a rfa next summer. With Coyle the jets get a player locked in so they can manage the cap moving forward.

Yes Reilly is a ufa I was just thinking the bruins could include his rights so the jets could negotiate with him before free agency and have an inside track on signing him. Not sure if Reilly the right player but I have to think the jets will be looking at adding to the backend.

No chance Winnipeg is looking to sell low on him now. It was a covid year, quarantine, stop starting, getting adjusted to new teammates and system. Why trade him for pennies on the dollar when he’s likely to be back to full value with an offseason and time to learn?

Dubois for Debrusk might be considered, but BOS would have to add a sweetener........and that might kill the point of getting Dubois, cause I think he and Debrusk would click

I agree and that was part of my thinking on Boston side. It would be interesting to see if those two could click together as I think their style of play matches well. Personally I hope Boston doesn’t give up on Debrusk this summer.

Boston would definitely have to add a sweetener of some kind. Because Dubois still has potential to be a great player and produce at a high level. But I really do think Coyle could be a good fit in Winnipeg. Maybe Boston could add a prospect or one their rfa players.

It would have to be on the defensive end, as that's where WPG needs the help. And BOS might need to cover a portion of the salary. Not sure WPG can afford a long term deal under achiever

There would probably be only one Bruin the Jets would consider a deal around if they moved PLD and it absolutely isn't DeBrusk.

Debrusk for PLD works. This definitely does not.

1. Reilly would have to come with a contract extension but it’s still not gonna work because the Jets don’t want Coyle’s horrendous contract
